Skin Lesion Removal
The quickest and easiest way to remove unwanted Lesions - from Red Veins to Skin Tags & Moles using Electrolysis also known as Diathermy when used in relation to Veins.
Red Vein Removal
Tiny Red Veins also known as "Thread Veins" are small damaged blood vessels known as "Capillaries" that can be found anywhere on the body. This most commonly happens when the capillaries weaken or are damaged through trauma, causing them to become visible from dilation.
The use of Electrolysis/Diathermy causes heating in the vessel from a small probe that delivers an electrical current that causes the thread vein to cauterise.
** Electrolysis can only be performed in 15min sections, treatments may need to be split into multiple if working in the same area.
** 3-4 treatments are recommended for the best results
Redness is expected up to 24-48hrs afterwards, in some cases itchiness and dryness may also present during healing.
Skin Tag Removal
Although Skin Tags carry no risks they can be irritating to those who have them. Skin Tags an present from a number of reasons - from lifestyle to genetics. Most commonly Skin Tags are found where the most friction and/or sweat can occur on the body such as - Neck, Underarms and Groin. Jewellery can also be a culprit for some people due to the friction.
Electrolysis is one of the many forms used to remove Skin Tags by Cauterising off the blood supply to the skin tag. The Tag will then either dry up and fall off on its own or be completely removed during the treatment by the cauterisation.
** Electrolysis can only be performed in 15min sections, treatments may need to be split into multiple if working in the same area.
Redness is expected up to 24-48hrs afterwards, in some cases itchiness and dryness may also present during healing. Full Healing may take 7-10days from a complete removal of skin tags.
Moles + Other Pigmented Lesions
As with Skin Tags, Moles + Other Pigmented Lesions such as Seborrheic Keratosis (benign skin growth most commonly found in older adults) can also be another concern people prefer not to keep on their body. The removal process is pretty similar to Skin Tag removal as the Electrolysis cauterises off the blood supply to the Lesion causing it to be completely removed on the day or dry up and fall off on its own.
Moles should first be checked with written approval to be removed by a GP, Dermatologist or Skin Specialist before Electrolysis can be done incase of any abnormal changes.
